1. Who We Are

Atmos is an independent mobile application developed and operated by Matthew Raifman. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to the Atmos app and its developer. You can reach us at inquiries@matthewraifman.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Location data — Your GPS coordinates are collected while the app is in use and transmitted over HTTPS to the third-party weather and sky-condition services in Section 4, and to our own forecast server, solely to fetch forecast data for your position. Location data is not stored on our servers, is not sold, and is not shared with our advertising partner.
• Subscription and purchase data — If you subscribe, RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play process your purchase and provide us with your subscription status and an anonymized subscriber identifier. When a trial starts or a subscription is purchased, we also send a purchase/subscription event (including the price, currency, and product) to our advertising partner (Meta) for advertising measurement. We never receive or store your payment card details.
• Advertising identifier and app activity — Through the Meta (Facebook) SDK, we collect your device's advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android) and app-activity events such as app installs, app opens, and in-app actions (for example, starting a trial or subscribing). This data is shared with Meta and used for advertising measurement and optimization. On iOS, this collection occurs only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt (see Section 5).
• App preferences — Your unit settings, notification preferences, and UI state (such as dismissed tips) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted off your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Location — Used solely to fetch the weather, cloud, satellite, aurora, tide, and air-quality data needed to compute your hourly shooting scores.
• Subscription and purchase data — Used to determine your access to premium features, and shared with Meta to measure and optimize the effectiveness of our advertising (for example, to reach people likely to subscribe).
• Advertising identifier and app activity — Used, together with Meta, for third-party advertising, advertising measurement and attribution, and analytics.
• Preferences — Used to display the app in your preferred units and remember your settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Atmos relies on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

• Pirate Weather — forecast data (receives your coordinates only)
• Open-Meteo — high-resolution forecast data, cloud layers, and air quality (receives your coordinates only)
• NOAA / National Weather Service — weather alerts, GOES satellite imagery, and aurora forecasts (receives your coordinates only)
• RevenueCat — subscription management, receipt validation, and entitlement tracking
• Apple App Store and Google Play — in-app purchases and subscription billing; governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies
• Meta Platforms (Facebook) — advertising measurement and optimization. Meta receives your device advertising identifier, app-activity events, and purchase events, and may use this data to attribute and target advertising, including linking it to your Meta account. 5. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency

We use Meta's advertising tools to promote Atmos and understand which ads lead to installs and subscriptions. To do this, Meta's SDK collects your device advertising identifier and app-activity and purchase events and links them, at Meta, to advertising profiles. Under Apple's definition, this is "tracking."

On iOS, we ask for your permission first through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, we do not enable advertiser tracking and your advertising identifier is not used to track you across apps and websites; app events may still be recorded on a non-attributed basis. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device).

6. Your Privacy Choices (U.S. State Laws)

Sharing your device advertising identifier and app/purchase events with Meta for advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws. You can opt out of this sharing by:

• Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or turning off Allow Apps to Request to Track in Settings; or
• Resetting or deleting your Advertising ID and enabling Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android; and
• Adjusting your ad settings directly with Meta.

You may also email us at inquiries@matthewraifman.com to request that we not share your information for advertising, and to exercise any rights to access or delete personal information that you have under applicable law.

7. Location Data Details

Atmos requests the "When In Use" location permission — location is accessed only while the app is open, never in the background. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device Location Services settings. If location is denied, the app cannot display forecasts. Your location is never shared with our advertising partner.

8. Data Retention and Storage

Weather data is cached locally on your device for a few minutes and cleared automatically. We do not maintain a server-side database of user profiles. Data shared with RevenueCat and Meta is retained and processed according to their respective privacy policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Atmos is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Security

All data transmitted by Atmos is sent over HTTPS using TLS encryption. Preferences stored locally on your device are protected by the operating system's standard app sandboxing. We follow industry-standard practices to safeguard the data we handle.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (see Section 6). Because we hold no personal profile of you on our servers, most requests are satisfied by your device and store settings; for data held by Meta or RevenueCat, use their controls or contact us and we will help facilitate your request. 12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, if significant, notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of Atmos after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
